Cyfryngau Cymdeithasol / Diogelwch ar lein

Mae wedi dod i’n sylw yn aml ers dechrau’r tymor yma am ddefnydd disgyblion a rhieni o gyfryngau cymdeithasol fel modd o gyfathrebu. Fel staff teimlwn gall hyn achosi problemau pan mae sylwadau haerllyg a cham arweiniol yn cael eu postio, yn aml yn ddi-sail neu yn ffeithiol anghywir. Gwyddwn fod nifer o agweddau positif o gyfathrebu ar lein. I’r perwyl yma, rydym wedi trefnu sesiwn hyfforddiant i rieni gyda’r Seicolegydd Addysg,

Mr Michael Duke. Caiff y sesiwn ei chynnal ar nos Lun, Chwefror 10fed yn Neuadd Ysgol y Llys am 5.00yp. Gofynnwn i bob teulu sicrhau fod oleiaf un cynrychiolydd yn bresennol i dderbyn y wybodaeth bwysig yma.

Online Safety / Social Media Update

We have noticed since the start of this new term an increase in parents’ comments on Facebook and other social media platforms which sometimes include factually incorrect statements or potentially libellous/ derogatory comments in relation to school. Can I please re-iterate, if you are not sure of anything in relation to school, pick up the telephone to ask school staff or pop in to talk to us! Very often it can clear up any misunderstanding. We do not doubt the benefits of social media. The concern is that once something is posted onto the web, it can be shared/doctored/used/misinterpreted. Think before posting!

With this in mind, we have organised a Parents Information Session on Internet Safety with the Educational Psychologist, Mr Michael Duke. The session will be held on Monday, February 10th at 5pm in the school hall. We kindly ask that all families send at least one representative to this session. It should only last approx. 1 hour. Thanks for your support.
