Wel son am wythnos llwyddiannus! Braf oedd gael croeswu ein ymwelwyr yma ar gyfer yr wythnos fel rhan o brosiect ERAMSUS. Roedd y plant wrth eu boddau yn rhannu eu gwaith, eu profiadau ac i ddysgu am Sbaen a Romania. Roedd hefyd yn dathliad o Gymreictod a’r disgyblion wrth eu boddau yn arddel ein hiaith a’n diwylliant.

Buodd yr ymwelwyr ar deithiau i Graig Fawr, i Gastell Conwy, cawsant flas ar Gerdded Nordic, Gweithgareddau Ysgol Goedwig, ymweliad i draeth Prestatyn ac hefyd ymweliad i Ysgol Glan Clwyd a’r Eglwys Gadeiriol yn Llanelwy.

Casawnt profi dawnsio gwerin, canu cerdd dant a cHlywed yr iaith Gymraeg yma’n ffynnu ym Mhrestatyn.

Hoffwn ddiolch i bawb am sicrhau llwyddiant yr ymweliad- staff am gydweithio’n hapus, rhieni am wirfoddoli i helpu ac i gyfrannu danteithion, aelodau’r Corff Llywodraethol a’r Pwyllgor Rhieni ac Athrawon am eu cydweithrediad. Diolch yn bennaf i Mrs Arfona Williams am gydgordio’r prosiect ar ran Ysgol y Llys. Nid ar chwarae bach mae trefnu’r fath ymweliad.

What an eventful week! We have thoroughly enjoyed the company of our guests from Spain and Romania as part of our ERASMUS project. The children loved being involved in preparations and taking part in multicultural activities. Language was no barrier for our pupils! They loved learning about different cultures and took pride in promoting the Welsh language and culture to our guests.

The visitors were kept extremely busy- as well as school trips including Forest School Activities, Nordic walking, Beach Activities, the guests visited all classes and received many presentations from pupils and staff.

The visitors also visited local attractions such as walking Graig Fawr, exploring Conwy Castle and visiting Ysgol Glan Clwyd and St.Asaph Cathedral.

They took part in various traditional folk dancing, enjoyed traditional Welsh ‘Cerdd Dant’ music and enjoyed Bara Brith, which was kindly baked and offered by parents.

My thanks to everyone who has supported in one way or another. To staff for co-operating diligently and conscientiously at the end of another busy term, to parents for volunteering to help serve, to provide refreshments, and offering cakes. To the PTA and Members of the Governing Body for supporting and of course the pupils for conveying the excitement and enthusiasm as only children can do. I would also like to offer a special word of thanks to Mrs Arfona Williams, who has co-ordinated our efforts on behalf of the school. As you undoubtedly understand a lot of the arrangements happen behind the scene- so diolch yn fawr Mrs Williams.

Diolch yn fawr,

Staff Ysgol y Llys
