Mae Minecraft yn nôl!
I ddilyn ar lwyddiant y Clwb Cloddio dros y gwyliau haf mae Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych a Menter Iaith Môn yn cydweithio unwaith eto ar brosiectau i ddod a Thref Gaerog Dinbych a Chastell Biwmares yn fyw unwaith eto.
Er bod y sesiynau yma yn rhai hwyl rydym hefyd wedi teilwra’r cynnwys i fod yn addysgiadol, yn taro amrywiaeth o dargedau craidd y cwricwlwm. Fydd rhaid i’r plant a phobl ifanc cyfathrebu wrth iddyn nhw ddefnyddio ei sgiliau cynllunio, mathemateg a datrys problem wrth weithio fel tîm i gyflawni targed penodol. Mi fydd y prosiect hefyd yn teilwra’r sesiynau i addysgu am hanes llai adnabyddus y cestyll a’r adeg benodol roedd y castell wedi ei adeiladu ynddo.
I gyd-fynd ac wythnos Drysau Agored mi fydd y prosiect yn cydweithio a grŵp gwirfoddol Drysau Agored Dinbych i ddod a’r Dref Gaerog yn nôl i fel roedd yn edrych ar ddechrau’r 14eg ganrif.
Mi fydd Castell Biwmares yn cael yr un driniaeth hefyd, wrth i ni gael y castell cafodd byth ei orffen ac sydd eisoes yn Safle Treftadaeth y Byd UNESCO yn nôl i’r 14eg ganrif.

Minecraft is back!
To follow the succesful Minecraft club sessions during the summer holidays Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych and Menter Iaith Món are working together again on a project to bring Denbigh’s Medieval walled town and Beaumaris Castle to life once again.
Despite the sessions prodominantly being focused on the fun of something outside the realms of education we have tailored the sessions to focus on some elements that hit a variety of curriciular aspects. The participants will have to communicate and use their planning, mathematical and problem solving skills to complete particular tasks. The sessions will also be tailored specifically for every group to focus on obsure history focused on the castle or construct and the particiular time in history it was constructed.
To coincide with the Open Doors week the project will work in partnership with the local Open Doors volunteering group in Denbigh to bring the Walled town back to it’s completed state at the start of the 14th century.
Beaumaris Castle will also be receiving the same treatment, as we take the castle that has been recognised as an UNESCO World Heritage Site back to the 14th century.
